The anticipated salary range for this role is between $119,000.00 and $160,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Role Description

Manage a variety of marketing responsibilities for a dedicated business area and/or region, including marketing strategy, content creation, market research and communications channel management. Support business leadership on a range of marketing matters. Translate business requirements into comprehensive marketing plans and manage end-to-end delivery of campaigns.

Role Objectives: Delivery

Manage a variety of marketing responsibilities for a dedicated business area and/or region, including marketing strategy, content creation, market research and communications channel management. Support business leadership on a range of marketing matters. Translate business requirements into comprehensive marketing plans and manage end-to-end delivery of campaigns. Execute regular customer surveys and other channel checks to assess impact and reach of marketing campaigns against defined KPIs. Use findings to refine marketing approach and inform changes in strategy. Optimize marketing budget across all areas of spend. Balance delivery goals against cost efficiencies to avoid budget overrun.

Role Objectives: Interpersonal

Build and maintain strong partnerships with key business stakeholders to foster close collaboration on the execution of marketing strategy. Foster relationships with internal control functions, including brand management, reputation management, legal and compliance to optimize marketing plans and mitigate potential risks. Participate in industry associations and other forums to broaden external network and stay current on marketing trends and tools. Partner with colleagues in other locations and/or business areas to share best practices and collaborate on cross-divisional marketing campaigns where relevant.

Role Objectives: Expertise

Demonstrate a deep understanding of business vision and strategic agenda through consistent delivery of high quality marketing campaigns. Employ strong communication and design skills to create compelling messages and visuals for marketing campaigns. Leverage an awareness of potential compliance and/or legal considerations to mitigate risks and safeguard against negative reputational or commercial outcomes. Apply expertise in marketing tools, target demographics and communications channels to optimize the tone, placement and timing of marketing content. Monitor customer engagement through regular surveys to assess impact against defined KPIs. Conduct periodic peer benchmarking reviews to stay abreast of industry themes and case studies.
