The anticipated salary range for this role is between $142,000.00 and $196,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Role Description

This Project Management role is for additional growth of the Systems Infrastructure group within Technology. You will work in a fast-paced team environment supporting our Trading floor, Middle, and Back office staff.
 
Strong Technology Infrastructure project management skills are required for this position:
- Windows, Linux, Market Data, IT Risk, Database, Network, Telecom, BCP, SAN, Cloud, Office 365, Data Center 
 

Role Objectives

The Infrastructure Project Manager role involves project management activities with the following primary functions: 
 
Project manage multiple strategic projects concurrently
Creation of executive level dashboards and metrics for reporting
Documenting project scope and obtaining sponsor approvals
Conduct work sessions with users to document requirements
Work with Systems Infrastructure team to design & build solutions
Document QA test plans and execute test cases
Work with users to document UAT test plans
Document Production Implementation plan
Assist with production implementation & coordinate user validation
Archive all project documentation into companywide repository
Participate in production support and BAU enhancements of Systems Infrastructure projects

Qualifications and Skills

Experience in a Financial organization as a Project Manager, with direct experience with Traders, Front, Middle, and Back Office systems functions.
Demonstrated experience managing, end to end, design, definition and delivery of technical solutions in-line with strategic goals.
Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and on budget.
Strong communication/presentation skills (written and oral) in cross-cultural business environment.
Knowledgeable with Systems Infrastructure (Market Data, Windows, Linux, IT Risk, Database, Network, Telecom, BCP, SAN) technologies.
Capacity to integrate business requirements within a changing Regulatory environment.
Strong Presentation skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Leading and facilitating working group discussions with Technology and the Business.
Strong work ethic with focus on meeting deadlines and objectives· Ability to manage companywide strategic projects.
Strong skills working with MS Excel, MS Project, MS Word, MS Power Point.
Willing to work additional hours to meet extraordinary deadlines according to standard industry practice when required.
