This is a hybrid role, requiring the successful candidate to attend our Tralee office.
Role Description
We are seeking a ServiceNow CMDB Administrator to support the ongoing management, accuracy, and optimization of our Configuration Management Database (CMDB). This role is ideal for someone early in their ServiceNow career who has a strong foundation in IT Service Management (ITSM) and is eager to grow their expertise in configuration management, data integrity, and IT operations.
Role Objectives
- Maintain and administer the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with governance standards.
- Partner with System Owners and Service Owners to resolve data gaps (i.e., missing, and invalid records). Monitors data quality improvements.
- Support discovery processes, integrations, and data imports to populate and update the CMDB.
- Monitor CMDB health, identify data quality issues, and assist in remediation efforts.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure CI (Configuration Item) relationships are properly defined and maintained.
- Assist in developing reports, dashboards, and metrics related to CMDB health and usage.
- Document processes, procedures, and best practices for CMDB administration.
- Provide day-to-day operational support for ServiceNow CMDB-related requests and incidents.
Qualifications and Skills
- 1–3+ years of experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM platforms.
- Basic understanding of ITIL processes, especially Configuration Management and Asset Management.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, or integration tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM) or IT Operations Management (ITOM).
