This is a hybrid role, requiring the successful candidate to attend our Tralee office.
Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Engineer to join our dynamic team. As the Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our M365 environment with a focus on the messaging infrastructure. This position requires a deep understanding of M365 and messaging technologies, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex systems. Experience with Proofpoint, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and O365 is highly desirable.
Role Objectives
- Design, implement, and manage Microsoft 365 solutions, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on Microsoft 365 best practices and strategies.
- Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of Microsoft 365 services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Microsoft 365 applications and services.
- Oversee the implementation, and optimization of messaging systems.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of messaging platforms.
- Integrate and manage Proofpoint solutions for enhanced email security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Microsoft 365 solutions with other enterprise systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and operational procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Microsoft 365 features, updates, and industry trends.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for messaging-related incidents and provide timely resolution.
- Implement proactive measures to identify and address potential issues before they impact operations.
- Utilize DLP technologies to ensure data protection and compliance.
- Ensure messaging systems comply with security policies and industry regulations.
- Implement and maintain security best practices for messaging infrastructure.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration and engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, and OneDrive, Conditional Access Policies, Enterprise Apps/App Registration, SCIM provisioning and SAML config
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Familiarity with security and compliance features in Microsoft 365.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
