The anticipated salary range for this role is between $250,000.00 and $260,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Role Description
Work closely with XVA team, financial resource management and trading risk and control team on building analytics, business processes and central management. The coverage includes XVAs, Capital, Balance sheet, margin, funding, liquidity, cross gamma and central risk management.
Role Responsibilities:
- XVA model, analytics, risk management and strategies
- Overall financial resource management analytics and optimization
- Centralized risk management and strategy
- Expert in derivatives model development, pricing and risk management
Qualifications and Skills
- 10+ years of front office experience supporting XVA and trading desks
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Good communication skills
- PhD in mathematics, physical science or engineering
- 10+ years’ experience in C++, python and SQL. KDB/Q is a plus.
- Experience in XVA client pricing, return on capital and financial resource management is a plus
- Experience in treasury, agency, MBS and corporate bonds is a plus
