The anticipated salary range for this role is between $110,000.00 and $165,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the America's Division Learning and Development Team supporting the bank. The role is responsible for all elements of the L&D lifecycle to offer adaptable L&D programs/support that will scale up as the business grows and aligns with SMBC's learning strategies. The role will be responsible for managing a portfolio of development programs.

Primary Responsibilities
- Execute and take full responsibility of the L&D life-cycle including project design, management of needs analysis, content development and facilitation/roll-out
- Develop and facilitate stand-up and web-based learning programs
- Ensure L&D plan enhances the cultural elements of the business and supports the bank's brand, values and culture
- Remain current about external trends and best practices in training and learning and integrate this knowledge into deliverables
- Manage external vendor relationships, as needed
- Assist in developing and maintaining related statistics and metrics
- Budget management
- Support the development of branding and marketing of learning products and the function overall
- Audit control responsibilities
- Serve as back-up for other team members
- Collaborates with stakeholders to assess learning needs and determine the best way to design, develop and deliver programs.
- Create content including facilitator guides, job aids, and program content

Requirements
- Work Experience: 7 to 10 years of specialized experience training development design, implementation and facilitation within an international financial services environment is key; experience with SAP or another LMS
- Required Education: BA / BS
- Preferred Education: MA / MS / MBA in adult education
- Business fluency in the following language(s): English
- Software Systems / Programming Languages: SAP or other LMS would be helpful; knowledge of webex or equivalent systems, and Articulate
- Percentage of travel required: 0-10%
Work Environment
