The anticipated salary range for this role is between $130,000.00 and $173,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Job Summary
The Vice President/Director, Performance & Promotion, will report to and support the Global Project Lead for TM Workstreams Performance and Promotion, in project managing the design and building of global Performance Management and Promotion frameworks and processes.
This role focuses on design, project management, operational execution and documentation, as well as stakeholder facilitation and coordination to ensure successful implementation of globally aligned processes, content governance, and user experience standards. The person acts as a key liaison between global and regional teams, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives while managing day-to-day transformation activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively contributes to the process design
- Assist the Global Project Lead in executing the global Performance and Promotion transformation roadmap, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met across the regions.
- Coordinate with regional TM colleagues to gather data, assess current practices, and facilitate work sessions for process and communication alignment.
- Lead efforts to collect and analyze existing TM content across regions, categorize by scope, and apply global versus regional governance principles.
- Act as primary point of contact for regional teams, providing updates, gathering feedback, and ensuring smooth communication and coordination between global and regional stakeholders.
- Collaborate with external partners and internal teams on performance management and promotion integration with Global SuccessFactors, ensuring technical readiness at launch date.
- Support communication and adoption strategies to drive engagement and minimize disruption during transformation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, education, Human Resources, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 8-15 years of experience in Talent Management, with exposure to global or multi-regional environments.
- Strong background in project management, process improvement, and stakeholder facilitation and coordination.
- Familiarity with content governance principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across matrixed, multicultural organizations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight timelines.
- Software Systems / Programming Languages: Strong Visio, Excel and PowerPoint skills, SuccessFactors knowledge and experience preferred.
- Percentage of Travel Required: 0-20%
