Role Description

SMBC is in process of leading a Digital Transformation across our Americas Division as we continue to modernize our technology, focus on our data driven approach, grow and plan for the future. As a result of this expansion we are seeking a Technology Sourcer/Recruiter-Consultant to join our team and help support this growth.  

 

In this position you will manage full-cycle recruitment for Technology including sourcing, pre-screening, interviewing, presenting qualified candidates, negotiating offers and facilitating hiring and on-boarding processes. You will oversee a large volume of open positions within assigned business verticals and help grow talent pipelines.
 

Role Objectives

  • Support senior recruiters and the full-cycle recruitment process by preparing and conducting resume screens, phone screens, interview scheduling, and completing job requisitions/system requirements. 
  • Support senior recruiters and/or directly own open positions within Technology by reviewing and submitting candidate resumes to hiring managers, solicit feedback regarding declined candidates and maintaining the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) – Success Factors. 
  • Prepare communications for senior recruiters and/or hiring managers regarding interviewing guidelines, diverse interview panel criteria and/or other internal policies. 
  • Facilitate internal offer terms/letter approvals and deliver key offer terms to the candidate (i.e., comp, benefits, etc.). 
  • Collect and aggregate data to support recruiting updates, ensure reporting and analytics track key talent acquisition metrics (i.e., open positions, interview / candidate status, etc.) to help ensure recruiters and business partners / hiring managers remain aligned and informed.
  • Working closely with our internal immigration team regarding candidates requiring visa sponsorship for employment (H-1B, OPT, CPT, TN, H4)
  • Partnering and managing relationships with third party recruitment agencies where relevant 
  • Conducting intake calls with managers to advise on recruitment processes and understand the specific requirements for their open positions
     

Qualifications and Skills

  • 5+ years of professional experience working in a technical sourcer/recruiter position.
  • Professional experience working in both an agency and corporate environment would be preferred.
  • Prior experience sourcing for a high volume of reqs with a focus on Software & Data Engineering, Information Security, Infrastructure and Project Management.
  • High level understanding of software development languages and frameworks, databases and platforms to work with members of our technical teams.
  • Experience partnering with HR Business Partners and the larger HR team where relevant
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships to effectively work as part of a recruitment team to provide a high level of service to our Technology teams.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both with members of our hiring and talent acquisition team.
  • Prior experience working with ATS systems and attention to detail with documentation.
