The anticipated salary range for this role is between $225,000.00 and $225,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Role Description
You will be a member of SMBC’s Fund Finance Team within Loan Capital Markets (LCM) focused on supporting the syndication and placement of Subscription, Net Asset Value and Direct Lending/Private Credit transactions. You will work in close collaboration with the Primary structuring team members and other verticals within LCM. This role will cover syndication of all Fund Finance transactions under the remit of the team, and you will interact with a wide variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally, requiring strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Role Objectives: Delivery

How You’ll Lead
- Manage frequent communications with internal stakeholder teams (sales, operations, risk and credit teams) to ensure appropriate internal co-ordination and market intelligence sharing
- Drive development of new investor syndication channels and product education
- Leverage a deep (and existing) industry network and oversee development of external partnerships to help convert leads into recurring new business and to elevate firm / brand awareness.

- Prior experience in Fund Finance syndication or related area is preferred
- Strong structural knowledge of Fund Finance transactions, with ability to guide lenders through approval process
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
