The anticipated salary range for this role is between $81,000.00 and $115,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Job Summary
- The Technology Resilience Associate supports the development, execution, and enhancement of SMBC AD’s Operational Resilience framework with a dedicated focus on Cyber Resilience and IT Resilience.
- The role ensures critical technology services, infrastructure components, and cyber capabilities remain stable, secure, and recoverable during disruptions.
Role Description
- Collaborate with Technology, Cyber Security, IT Service Management, Infrastructure, BCM, and Third-Party Risk to develop Cyber & IT Resilience Playbooks.
- Collect, analyze, and report Cyber and IT Resilience metrics including system availability, recovery performance, and critical asset indicators.
- Support dependency mapping across applications, infrastructure layers, integrations, and cyber controls.
- Promote a culture of Cyber & IT Resilience through training, awareness, and communications.
- Align cyber risk, IT risk, and operational risk processes with resilience expectations.
- Provide cyber- and technology-focused risk reporting identifying vulnerabilities and resilience gaps.
Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to prepare executive-ready PowerPoint deliverables.
- Knowledge of IT project delivery and infrastructure initiatives.
- Strong understanding of Cyber and IT Resilience including cyber defense tooling and incident response.
- Experience developing technical procedures, playbooks, and resilience documentation.
- Strong communication and analytical skills across technology and risk domains.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and IT risk management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to stakeholders at all levels.
- Solid project management abilities, including planning, scheduling, and tracking work to ensure timely completion.
- Highly organized, with proven multitasking skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- 3 plus years of professional experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, as well as Visio and ServiceNow.
