The anticipated salary range for this role is between $153,000.00 and $196,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Role Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Portfolio Manager to oversee complex software development projects in financial industry. The successful candidate should have a strong background in Agile methodologies, experience in software development and project management, and a proven track record of delivering large-scale projects. Experience as a Scrum Master is highly desirable.

Role Objectives

- Build and execute roadmap in agile and hybrid fashion

- Monitor portfolio roadmap progress

- Report portfolio status to senior management and stakeholders

- Ensure stakeholders communicated promptly for any unexpected issues and foreseeable issues
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensuring project priorities and dependencies and to ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the project teams.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in Agile project management and software development within the organization.

Qualifications and Skills

- 7-10 years or more of experience with Agile methodologies.
- Strong background in software development, with a good understanding of capital market.
- 10+ years of project management experience, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
- Solid agile methodology experience on software development and project management. Scrum Master experience is a plus.

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent self-starter
- Strong experience with JIRA and/or ServiceNow.
- Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
