The anticipated salary range for this role is between $190,000.00 and $196,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Role Description
Support business planning and operations by delivering key insights from corporate data sources. Develop reports and dashboard tools to visualize data for rapid understanding and communication. Work with business units to understand data requirements and implement processes for ensuring data integrity.
Role Objectives
- Act as the SME (subject matter expert) on the Microsoft Power BI platform.
- Troubleshoot and optimize reporting models and dashboards to ensure optimal performance.
- Responsible for proper change management processes to promote and deploy managed solutions in Power BI. Maintain the Power BI service (creation of workspaces, securing workspaces, creating data connections, and ensuring gateway connectivity).
- Monitor and report Power BI service capacity and performance to ensure near 100% uptime and availability.
- Work with the business users and stakeholders to gather requirements to develop software solutions in Power BI. Translate business requirements to functional technical requirements to ensure alignment of goals for all parties within the business. Lead a team of Power BI developers providing guidance and best practices of overall Power BI usage within the organization. Work with management an ideal roadmap and strategy for Power BI within the organization.

Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field plus 5 years of progressively responsible experience.
- Experience must include the following: Microsoft Power BI desktop development and service management; SQL; Data Analysis Expressions programming; Application Programming Interface.
