The anticipated salary range for this role is between $165,000.00 and $170,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Role Objectives
- Plan, initiate, and manage information technology projects.
- Supervise and guide a team of engineers who perform the day to day work, have responsibility for the system operation management, make systems available at the correct time, respond to alerts that are generated by systems and ensure that the work to address the alerts are allocated to the correct support team and resolved, and monitor the systems environment to prevent system issues. Review and verify the integrity of the production environment to ensure business units have access to business applications.
- Act as owner of the process which verifies the technical infrastructure is working properly.
- Serve as a high level point of escalation for complex operations and customer service issues and is responsible for the resolution.
- Lead short and long-term functional initiatives.
- Ensure business continuity under all conditions with strict adherence to established guidelines and deadlines.
- Serve as tactical point of contact for internal and external auditors, regulators and investigators.

Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or a related field plus 5 years of experience in system management.
- Experience must include the following: managing multi-tiered technical environments; and network engineering and IT operations in an enterprise environment.
