Role Description
Lead or participate in marketing of opportunities to procure capital for clients. Achieve origination and commitment targets in accordance with established risk parameters. Prepare financial analysis and modeling, including detailed valuation analysis. Negotiate and originate structured financing arrangements with lenders across all asset classes and product types. Compile and analyze market research data to develop recommendations on products and services.
Role Objectives: Delivery
Achieve origination and commitment targets by client and asset types consistent with budget and in accordance with established risk parameter. Prepare financial analysis and modeling, including detailed valuation analysis, such as LBO analysis, discounted cash flow, accretion and dilution, IPO pro forma analysis, comparative company analysis, and sum of parts analysis. Analyze credit considering loan terms and purpose, LTV, asset type (liquidity), liens, guarantees, covenants, free cash flow, operating cycle, customer base and quality of management and reporting. Support negotiation and origination of structured financing arrangements with lenders across all asset classes and product types. Support the origination and execution of investment banking transaction mandates such as: buy and sell-side M&A, as well as capital markets processes, including debt and equity offerings in the securities markets. Prepare and deliver pitch materials and offering memorandums including research, financial modeling and transaction narratives. Participate in weekly pipeline meetings to discuss deal flow, deal status, market conditions and review new and existing client leads. Compile and analyze market research data to develop recommendations regarding products and services focused on needs of target market. Maintain customer database including calls and results on all new and existing business relationships. Perform basic pre-qualification assessment and analysis of financial condition and risk of financing requests within framework of established risk and credit guidelines. Monitor book of business and recommends remedial actions.

Begin to network within the industry through meetings, events and involvement with trade organizations. Facilitate information exchanges through relationships across the organization, especially those units most adjacent such as coverage functions. Assist staff efforts to expand client and investor relationships. Support the unit's participation in long- and short-term planning and new product development.

Exhibit a basic knowledge of capital market operations and funding options to support client transactions. Develop an understanding of your client's business and products to create tailored solutions. Utilize information technology to better gather, manage and monitor key data sets. Apply modeling and analytical skills to improve decision making on key metrics such as pricing. Develop an understanding of legal, accounting and regulatory issues affecting corporate banking to help craft client solutions. Be aware of general market conditions, rates and financing alternatives to better support the corporate banking team. Communicate complex issues effectively.
