Role Description

•    Maintain and evolve the Firm’s process taxonomy, ensuring clear hierarchical structuring of process levels, concepts, and governed terms.
•    Own and govern the enterprise process taxonomy, including oversight of structure, standards, and change management.
•    Support a cross functional working group to review and approve taxonomy updates, ensure alignment with risk, resilience, and control frameworks, and prevent duplication or unmanaged growth.
•    Participate in New Business Approval meetings to determine if a new business unit or process needs creation.
•    Embed the taxonomy into business as usual cycles and oversee periodic validation and attestation to maintain accuracy, consistency, and regulatory defensibility.
•    Guide the appropriate use of the enterprise process taxonomy and support its adoption across business and technology initiatives, including risk management, 1LOD program execution, regulatory change, and reporting activities.
•    Monitor the health and use of the enterprise process taxonomy, identifying gaps and inconsistencies, overseeing remediation activities, and supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in enterprise‑scale data governance, data management, or metadata disciplines within complex organizational environments.
  • Strong command of data taxonomy concepts, including hierarchical structures, classification standards, and semantic modeling techniques.
  • Experience using firm‑approved data governance, metadata, or data cataloguing platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert business concepts into clearly defined, structured terminology that can be consistently applied across systems and processes.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to partner across business, technology, and control functions.
  • Strong attention to detail, with an emphasis on consistency, clarity, and reuse of definitions and standards.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience navigating and working within complex, multi‑source enterprise data environments, specifically with processes.
  • Hands‑on experience with the SAI 360 asset model or similar governance and risk platforms.
  • Experience with Fusion (Fusion Framework System) for BCM / Operational Resilience
  • Ability to define and standardize taxonomy patterns and usage standards across analytics and data platforms.
