Role Description

Lead the Enterprise Risk Teams responsible for Risk Identification, Risk Appetite and New Business Initiatives. 

Role Objectives: Delivery

Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk inventory, maintaining policies and procedures to ensure completeness and determination of material risks. 

Develop and maintain the risk appetite process in coordination with other risk verticals and business units to ensure acceptable risk taking across the enterprise. Partner with development teams to ensure appropriate quantitative metrics as well develop qualitative approaches for all risk taking. 

Oversee the new initiatives process for risk and maintain the policy. Provide review and challenge as well as coordination across subject matter experts in risk. 

Oversee the issues management process and develop policies and procedures to ensure review and challenge as well as develop the management system.  

Role Objectives: Interpersonal

Facilitate close partnerships with all business units, risk verticals, finance, compliance and other control functions.  

Present to senior management and where necessary board level committees. 

Role Objectives: Expertise

Apply a strong background in financial markets, economics, models and regulatory capital calculations. 

 Utilize a thorough understanding of risk management and business strategies across the organization. Be familiar with financial services trends, emerging issues and regulatory requirements (CCAR, DFAST) to inform capital adequacy assessments. Exhibit exceptional communication skills when conveying complex concepts.
