Role Description

SMBC is in the process of leading a Digital Transformation as we continue to modernize our technology, focus on our data driven approach, grow as well as plan for the future. As a result of this exciting growth, we are seeking a Senior Recruiter to join our team and help support this expansion. In this position you will manage full-cycle recruitment in Charlotte, NC, for Technology, Operations, and Cybersecurity (amongst other pillars), including sourcing, engaging, pre-screening, interviewing, negotiating offers, facilitating strategic hiring and on-boarding processes. You will oversee a volume of open positions within assigned business verticals and help grow relevant talent pipelines.

Role Objectives

  • Partner with senior Technology, Operations, and Cybersecurity stakeholders to support the full-cycle recruitment process by preparing and conducting candidate screens, facilitate interview scheduling, completing system requirements, and monitor hiring progress through data reporting. 
  • Serve as a strategic talent partner to hiring managers and business leaders, leading recruitment efforts for critical hiring needs and leveraging market intelligence, stakeholder relationships, and SuccessFactors to deliver exceptional talent outcomes that support organizational goals.
  • Prepare communications for hiring managers regarding interview guidelines, diverse interview panel criteria and/or other internal policies. 
  • Facilitate internal offer terms, letter approvals and deliver key offer terms to the candidate (i.e., comp, benefits, etc.). 
  • Collect and aggregate data to support recruiting updates, ensure reporting and analytics track key talent acquisition metrics (i.e., open positions, interview and candidate status, etc.) to help ensure clients, hiring managers, and key stakeholders remain aligned and informed.
  • Work closely with our internal immigration team regarding candidates requiring visa sponsorship for employment (H-1B, OPT, CPT, TN, H4).
  • Partner and manage relationships with third party recruitment agencies where relevant.
  • Conduct intake calls with hiring managers and key stakeholders to advise on recruitment strategy and understand the specific requirements for their open positions.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 7+ years of professional experience working in a recruiter position.
  • Professional experience working in both an agency and corporate environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering hiring results in high-volume, data-driven environments, including building recruitment strategies and talent pipelines from inception through scale across, Technology, Operations, and Cybersecurity.
  • In-depth understanding of application and software development languages and frameworks, databases and platforms, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data, and Cloud environments.
  • Experience partnering with HR Business Partners and the broader HR functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships to effectively partner and provide a high level of service across incoming hiring teams.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) and advise key stakeholders, and hiring teams around recruiting, and talent acquisition strategy.
