Role Description

Manage the formulation, execution and communication of the company's strategic objectives. Support management board with decision-making on strategic direction, resource allocation, business opportunities and risk appetite. Conduct due diligence on strategic initiatives and proposals to assess feasibility and impact, and track and report on progress of strategic initiatives.

Role Objectives: Delivery

Oversee the formulation, execution and communication of the company's strategic objectives. Act as advisor to the management board and influence decision-making on strategic direction, resource allocation, business opportunities and risk appetite. Deploy team resources to conduct due diligence on strategic initiatives and proposals. Establish framework to challenge business stakeholders on key assumptions and identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in strategic plans. Partner with business and infrastructure heads to facilitate deployment of new strategic initiatives and mobilize key resources to ensure seamless integration. Design and implement measures to systematically track and report on progress of strategic initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups. Review internal and external business opportunities and commission assessments to analyze commercial upside, feasibility, cost implications and risk. Curate list of the most compelling opportunities for consideration by the management board.

Role Objectives: Interpersonal

Form strong partnerships with business heads and COOs across the enterprise to foster trust and influence the development and deployment of strategic initiatives. Set a tone of collaboration and transparency between business areas and infrastructure functions, including legal, compliance and risk management, to ensure alignment and introduce comprehensive control frameworks to mitigate risks. Author and execute communications to general workforce and external stakeholders to raise awareness of strategic achievements and encourage support for new business ventures. Partner with relevant communications heads to create narrative and deliver key messages. Act as trusted advisor to management board members and other key executives to influence management objectives and secure sponsorship on strategic deliverables when required. Host and/or participate in industry forums and other events to strengthen external network and stay current on market landscape and prospective business opportunities.

Demonstrate a strong awareness of management priorities and business landscape by influencing corporate strategy agenda and delivering consistently strong outcomes against strategic ambitions. Lead efforts to assess, challenge and shape strategic objectives. Leverage nuanced understanding of business dynamics competitive landscape, cost profile and risk exposures to perform comprehensive assessments of new strategic ventures. Generate insights to influence management decisions on strategic agenda. Employ strong communication skills to craft a compelling narrative around strategic agenda and encourage buy-in across internal and external stakeholder groups. Continuously review feedback and insights from stakeholders on strategic agenda to gauge impact and perception. Draw on internal and external networks to screen for business opportunities and commission assessments when appropriate.
