Role Description
We are seeking a Monitoring Lead with advanced LogicMonitor expertise and proven ServiceNow experience to drive enterprise observability and ITSM best practices. In this role, you will lead initiatives to advance monitoring strategies, refine collector architecture, enhance alert correlation, and expand automation for scalability and performance. You will play a key role in optimizing enterprise LogicMonitor solutions, integrating with ITSM processes, and ensuring operational efficiency across cloud and on-prem environments. This position is critical to reducing alert noise, improving MTTR, and ensuring operational resilience across infrastructure, hybrid cloud, and on-prem environments. Success in this role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in an agile environment while balancing multiple priorities.
Role Objectives
• Monitoring Advancement: Optimize LogicMonitor configurations, improve alert correlation, and expand automation for scalability and performance.
• Dashboard Development: Build and optimize dashboards include capacity dashboards for service health, SLA performance, and compliance reporting.
• Governance & CMDB Alignment: Maintain accurate alert routing and CMDB hygiene; ensure seamless ServiceNow integration.
• Tool Rationalization: Lead retirement of legacy monitoring tools and maintain reconciliation between LogicMonitor and ServiceNow CMDB.
• Performance Analytics: Drive trend analysis, capacity forecasting, and risk scoring for change windows.
• Root Cause Analysis: Correlate metrics, logs, and changes to produce audit-ready incident timelines.
• ServiceNow Administration: Provide platform maintenance and support, resolve incidents and requests within SLAs, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and assist with bi-weekly deployments for bug fixes and enhancements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with ITSM leadership and business units to align monitoring strategies with ITIL best practices.
Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure monitoring and observability.
• Advanced LogicMonitor expertise with at least 2 years hands-on experience (alert correlation, dashboards, custom Data Sources, automation).
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on ServiceNow Administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL Framework and best practices.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure, hybrid cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), and on-prem environments.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills for audit and leadership reporting.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate leadership, and thrive in an agile environment.
Certifications
• Preferred: LogicMonitor Certified Associate (LMCA), LogicMonitor Certified Professional (LMCP), ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
Preferred Skills
• Experience with LogicMonitor API and automation workflows.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow Performance Analytics and reporting.
• Scripting proficiency (Python, PowerShell) for automation and integrations.
