Role Description
The Enterprise Architecture Lead is responsible for defining and governing enterprise-wide technology architecture standards that support business strategy, scalability, security, and regulatory compliance. This role provides architectural direction across application, data, integration, and infrastructure domains, ensuring technology solutions are aligned with enterprise principles and long-term strategic objectives.The position works closely with business leaders, delivery teams, and control functions to guide technology decisions, assess architectural risk, and promote consistent, sustainable design across the organization.
Role Objectives
- Define and maintain enterprise architecture principles, standards, and reference architectures
- Provide architectural oversight and guidance for major technology initiatives and solution designs
- Evaluate proposed solutions for alignment with enterprise strategy, technical standards, and risk considerations
- Partner with business, engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to translate business needs into architectural directionIdentify architectural gaps, technical debt, and risk areas, and recommend remediation strategies
- Support governance and review forums by presenting architecture assessments, trade-offs, and recommendations
- Promote standardization and reuse across platforms, applications, and integration patterns
- Contribute to multi-year technology roadmaps aligned to business priorities and enterprise strategy
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to inform architectural evolution and investment decisions
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or large-scale technology delivery
- Broad understanding of application architecture, data architecture, integration patterns, and cloud technologies
- Experience operating in complex, regulated environments with strong governance and control requirements
- Proven ability to assess architectural trade-offs across cost, risk, scalability, and time-to-market
- Strong communication skills, with experience influencing senior technology and business stakeholders
Preferred
- Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and governance models
- Experience supporting large, multi-region technology portfolios
- Background in modernization, cloud adoption, or large-scale platform transformation initiatives
