The anticipated salary range for this role is between $179,000.00 and $230,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Collibra DIP Test Manager to lead and manage the testing efforts for the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform (DIP) implementation across a Global data governance team and organization. This role is responsible for defining test strategies, creating test plans, coordinating test execution, and ensuring the quality and integrity of data governance solutions delivered via Collibra.
Role Objectives
- Develop and implement end-to-end test strategy for the Collibra DIP platform, including functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
- Collaborate with data governance, business, and IT stakeholders to understand testing requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Design and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts tailored to Collibra functionalities (e.g., workflows, domains, assets, policies).
- Manage test environments, data setup, and testing tools used for Collibra DIP.
- Lead test execution and defect management processes; log, track, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Work closely with Collibra developers and configuration teams to ensure thorough validation of all platform customizations and integrations (e.g., with data catalogs, metadata tools, or MDM systems).
- Report on test progress, results, and quality metrics to project stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to enterprise data governance and testing standards.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software testing or QA roles, with at least 2 years focused on data governance platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Collibra Data Intelligence Platform, including workflow testing and asset modeling.
- Strong understanding of data governance concepts, metadata management, and data quality principles.
- Experience with testing tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Collibra certification is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with integration testing involving ETL tools, APIs, or data lakes.
- Prior experience in Agile or DevOps environments.
