Role Description

The VP, Data Governance Management Office – Reporting & Enablement supports the Head of the Data Governance Management Office in driving execution discipline, transparency, and enablement across the Data Governance team supporting the Head of Data Governance and Reference Data for the Americas Division.

 

This role is accountable for day‑to‑day reporting, management information (MI), governance forum support, communications, and enablement activities, ensuring leadership has clear, consistent, and decision‑ready visibility into delivery progress, risks, and outcomes across Data Governance pillars.

 

Operating at the center of the federated Data Governance model, the VP partners closely with Data Governance pillar leads, Entity and Function Data Officers, and program delivery teams to ensure governance activities are well‑coordinated, well‑reported, and operationally effective, while allowing pillar leads to remain accountable for execution.

 

Role is located in Charlotte, North Carolina with a Hybrid presence in office. 

Role Objectives

1. Reporting & Management Information (MI)
•  Support the Head of DGMO by producing and maintaining Data Governance delivery reporting, dashboards, and executive level  summaries.
•  Consolidate inputs across DG pillars (Policy, Tooling, MRD, Records Management, Data Controls) into clear, consistent MI.
•  Prepare senior management, SteerCo, and regulatory facing materials that articulate status, risks, dependencies, and planned actions.
•  Ensure reporting artifacts are accurate, well controlled, and audit ready, aligned to agreed standards and templates.

2. Enablement, Communications & Training Support
•   Develop and maintain enablement materials, guidance, and playbooks supporting adoption of Data Governance standards, tooling, and operating practices.
•   Coordinate role based training communications, working with pillar owners and SMEs to ensure consistency of messaging.
•   Support Data Governance communications (e.g., updates, newsletters, announcements) to drive clarity and engagement across stakeholders.
•   Act as a central coordination point to ensure enablement activities are aligned to delivery milestones.

3. Governance Forum & Cadence Support
•  Support Data Governance forums (e.g., EDO/FDO Forums, DAMWG) by: 
Preparing agendas and materials
Capturing decisions, actions, and outcomes
Tracking follow ups and escalations
•   Maintain standardized templates for meeting materials and outputs.
•   Ensure governance discussions are well structured and outcomes focused, with clear documentation and traceability.

4. Program Execution Support
•  Track cross pillar milestones, dependencies, risks, and commitments on behalf of the DGMO.
•  Maintain integrated delivery views (e.g., sprint level tracking, quarterly roadmaps, regulatory milestones).
•  Highlight emerging risks, slippage, or decision points for escalation to the Head of DGMO.
•  Help embed consistent ways of working across the Data Governance program.

Qualifications and Skills

•    5 – 8+ years of experience in data governance, program management, regulatory delivery, or enterprise reporting, preferably within financial services.
•    Strong experience producing executive ready reporting and MI.
•    Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders in a federated model.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
•    Comfortable working in a fast paced, delivery oriented environment supporting senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications


•    Experience supporting regulatory, audit, or control driven initiatives (e.g., BCBS 239, Data Governance, Regulatory remediation, control frameworks).
•    Familiarity with Data Governance concepts, standards, and tooling.
•    Experience supporting training, enablement, or operating model rollout.
•    Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and enterprise reporting tools.
