The anticipated salary range for this role is between $122,000.00 and $175,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Role Description

The Apptio Administrator (VP) position is an important role in the TBM Governance Office for SMBC Group. This person will be the “hands on keyboard” Apptio Administrator and will be responsible for providing technical guidance and analysis to improve organizational cost transparency, TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and Allocation Analysis and maintenance, resource analysis, ad-hoc report creation, and other responsibilities within the TBM Governance Office.

As a subject matter expert, you will be working with both Apptio and Cloudability end users for the creation of various dashboards, BI reports and assist the TBM Governance Office in the overall maturity of the SMBC Apptio program to include Total Cost of Ownership, Bill of IT and allocation reporting. 

Role Objectives: Delivery

  1. Provide technical guidance and analysis to improve organizational cost transparency, existing TCO model, resource analysis, ad-hoc report creation, and other responsibilities within the TBM Governance Office.
  1. Exhibit proficiency in cost management allocation concepts, specifically IT allocation methodologies and their alternatives.
  2. Deliver timely, accurate management analysis, reporting, and communication of Information Technology business results.
  3. Utilize your knowledge of Financial Management, IT Service Management, or Technology Business Management principles to drive effective solutions.
  4. Demonstrate experience in linking IT and financial data elements and gathering necessary IT operations data required to allocate infrastructure costs to products and services.
  5. Bring in 7+ years of experience in financial management and information technology to enhance the quality of your insights and recommendations.
  6. Utilize your expertise in reporting and visualization development (requirements gathering, development, design, update via feedback) for IT and business unit stakeholders.
  7. Demonstrate your in-depth understanding of IT service management, IT operations, and IT financial management concepts.
  8. Facilitate discussions with financial management, IT operations, and business unit leadership personnel to ensure effective collaboration and alignment.

 

Qualifications and Skills

  1. 7+ years of Apptio Administrator experience. Experience must include direct “hands on keyboard” Apptio and Cloudability development including creation of various dashboards, reporting and assist in the development of allocations.
  2. A strong background in IT Financial Management, Financial Planning & Analysis or Business Unit Controlling
  3. Advanced analytical and big data analysis skills
  4. Technology Business Management experience, CTBME preferred.
  5. Data Integration: Integrate diverse data sources to generate comprehensive insights and support decision-making.
  6. Proficiency in reporting and visualization development for IT and business unit stakeholders.
  7. Financial Data Analysis & Reconciliation: Conduct thorough analysis and reconciliation of financial data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  8. Excellent communication and facilitation skills to engage effectively with various stakeholders.

Role is located in either Tralee, Ireland or Charlotte, NC
