The anticipated salary range for this role is between $85,000.00 and $170,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualification, experiences, and analysis of current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at time of hire. JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with at least 7 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures as well as developing and maintaining shared component and framework libraries. You will work closely with Technology, Product and Business stakeholders to ensure data availability, quality, and reliability.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and optimize robust data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Build reuseable libraries and shared capabilities to enable faster time to market by Data Engineering delivery teams
  • Architect and implement scalable data solutions using the GCP cloud platform.
  • Work on continually improving our platform capabilities and maintaining overall platform health as we evolve to address our growing needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data systems.
  • Mentor and guide junior data engineers and contribute to best practices.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data workflows and performance.
  • Provide capabilities leveraging automation to aid delivery teams as they perform data validation, testing, and deployments.
  • Stay updated with emerging data engineering technologies and trends.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
  • Highly proficient in Python and SQL.
  • Is well versed in the nuances of software engineering and systems design.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure - GCP Preferred).
  • Has hands on experience with Apache Airflow/Composer, Beam/Dataflow and Spark/Dataproc.
  • Is in their environment working on Linux/Unix/*nix
  • Strong knowledge of ETL tools, data modeling
