The anticipated salary range for this role is between $158,000.00 and $198,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualification, experiences, and analysis of current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at time of hire. SUMMARY:

Drive secure cloud solutions across hybrid environments with a focus on innovation, scalability, and security-first principles. This senior role is ideal for engineers who thrive on solving complex challenges and want to shape the future of cloud security strategy, architecture, and execution. You will lead the design and hands-on implementation of secure infrastructure, champion automation, and collaborate across teams to align with enterprise security standards and business objectives.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead the design and hands-on implementation of security architecture across multi-cloud environments, primarily Azure and GCP.
    • Define and enforce cloud security policies, endpoint controls, and container security practices (including Kubernetes).
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive DevSecOps strategy, integrating security throughout the development lifecycle.
    • Establish secure coding standards, reusable design patterns, and application security guidelines.
    • Define and implement API security strategies, including lifecycle protection and threat mitigation.
    • Set encryption standards and ensure consistent application across systems and services.
    • Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and InfoSec teams to deliver secure, compliant, and scalable solutions.
    • Evaluate and optimize systems and processes for performance, security, and future readiness.
    • Support projects involving cloud upgrades, system assessments, and process improvements.
    • Produce clear documentation, including architecture diagrams and security design artifacts. 

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, cloud engineering, or related fields.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Azure and GCP certifications preferred.
    • Proven experience designing, solutioning, and directly implementing cloud security architecture in Azure and GCP.
    • Strong proficiency with Terraform or other automation tools, with a focus on real-world deployment and configuration.
    • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and API security controls (SSO, OAuth, threat protection), with practical experience integrating and securing APIs.
    • Familiarity with industry security frameworks (e.g., CIS, NIST) and their application in live environments.
    • Preferred security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, GIAC, GSEC, CSSLP) or advanced degree in Information Security.
    • Preferred Azure and/or GCP architecture certifications.
    • Preferred experience with security tools such as MS Defender, Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Rapid7, Imperva, Palo Alto Firewalls, and native cloud firewalls, with demonstrated hands-on configuration and tuning.
