The anticipated salary range for this role is between $45,000.00 and $63,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualification, experiences, and analysis of current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at time of hire. Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Specialist to join our team and support the processing of pending applications. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of loan and deposit applications, while also maintaining strong communication with applicants. The ideal candidate will be comfortable spending at least 50% of their time making outbound calls to applicants and prospective clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify loan documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies.
- Evaluate deposit applications and ensure all required information and documentation are submitted.
- Make outbound calls to applicants and prospective applicants to gather missing information, clarify application details, and provide updates.
- Maintain detailed records of all communications and application statuses in the system.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve application issues and ensure timely processing.
- Identify and escalate any discrepancies or potential fraud concerns.
- Provide excellent customer service and support throughout the application process.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in operations, customer service, or financial services preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable with high-volume outbound calling (50% or more of work time).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM or loan processing systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in banking, lending, or financial services.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in financial applications.
